That is such a great idea, to customize your own maternity clothes. I wish I would have done that with my pregnancies but I was too intimidated by my sewing machine. I sure would have saved a ton of money.
Oh, it seems such a long time ago (my kids are 7 and 10 now) - all the trouble I went through to find comfortable pants! My absolutely favorite pants were overalls, actually...
thanks for your comment, pascale! yeah, i hear that overalls are pretty comfortable for pregnancy, but seeing as i have to pee every fifteen minutes or so, they're just way too much bother for me! :) lisa
The title of this blog is a bilingual play on words that probably nobody will ever get, so I may as well just explain it. The cuci cuci part is up to interpretation, either from CUCIre (sew) and CUCInare (cook) or the command "Sew, sew!" You pronounce cuci "COO-chee," so I added the English coo to make it what you say to babies while tickling them: "Coochie coochie coo!"
