Wow! OK, so I had to read one more (I'm sure the guy who is coming to measure my windows won't care if my house isn't picked up, right?!?) -- this is so impressive!!! And inspiring!!! Love it!!! Have I used enough exclamation points yet?!? : ) But really now, what a GREAT creative way to re-use flipflops!!!

Clearly, I must just add you to my reader so I can get on with my life right now and see more ingenious ideas at a later time. When the doorbell isn't about to ring!

a picked up house is way too over-rated! I'm glad you like these! I got a lot of comments about them on the Italian side of this blog, but I have fewer readers here on the English side and none of them ever leave comments! boo hoo! Thanks for subscribing!

I have an idea for the extra plastic "wishbones" that you have left over from your sandels. After reading your beautiful blog about the doll you made in May (I can't even guess all the emotions you felt but I'm so happy you made something so precious on that day), I think these wishbones might make a pair of legs for some creative little doll. Have the single point go thru the torso and the 2 long point hanging down as legs- then the knobs at the end could be feet... Do you think it could work? Sofia might get a kick out of it :-)

that could bea possibility, and I also thought I could use them for handles for a handbag. Thanks!

My husband and I frequent a shop in Indianapolis called Global Gifts. All things are made in 3rd world countries from recycled items. We saw a door mat made out of flips flops. They cut them in pieces and fastened them together. It was neat looking!

A doormat made out of flip flops sounds cool! My mother had one made out of pieces of old tires fastened together, I bet it's more or less the same technique. I wish there were a store like the one you go to near me :)

And thank you Katie! You know I absolutely love your stuff too!
